Statutory regulations also require all hospitals within the State of Nevada to submit quarterly financial and utilization reports to the DHCFP. ASCs, skilled nursing facilities (SNFs), intermediate care facilities (ICFs), and hospices are required to submit quarterly utilization reports.

DHCFP has contracted the services of Comagine Health in the collection, and analysis of patient billings claims data and financial and utilization data from Nevada hospitals, ASCs, SNFs, and ICFs pursuant to NRS 449.485 and NAC 449.951-449.969, Final Revision of 449.485, R151-8. DHCFP and Comagine Health are public agencies within the meaning of NRS 277.100. NRS 277.180 authorizes any one or more public agencies to contract with any one or more other public agencies to perform any governmental service, activity or undertaking which any of the public agencies entering the contract is authorized by law to perform.
